Just an FYi on the process! !
Each cone is first sanded with fine grit sandpaper to remove any injection molding marks. Any indentations or holes in the cone are filled in with compound and resanded smooth. A brushed coat of paint is applied, over the surface that coordinates to the color of yarn that will be used, in case of any slight gaps, so that white does not show underneath. Once dry an adhesive is applied to entire cone and yarn is carefully & tightly hand wrapped one loving precise row at a time. Holes are made in the top of the cone to add the toppers and scalloped felt skirts are cut out and attached, to nicely finish off the bottom of the tree. 1/2” thick dowel rods are cut to length and inserted with glue into the bottom of the tree. Then the dowel rod is inserted & attached into a thick, real oak, wood base that has been carefully selected from our ranch, for size and quality, and cut to 1 1/4” depth and hand coated with a sealer to preserve the longevity and give it a high quality look. Lastly all the embellishments (decorations) on the trees are attached one piece at a time and the topper is attached and glued into place. Once Finished each tree is dusted with a lint remover and individually wrapped with pretty tissue paper for shipping. 😊 Each set of trees takes approx 2-3 hours to complete and a great deal of attention to detail and love goes into each tree I make for you. ❤️ I hope you love & enjoy them for many holidays to come!
